Although these vitamins can also be found in animal products, it is more common to find them in fruits, vegetables, and other plant sources.

In contrast to the fat soluble vitamins, your body uses water to move these nutrients throughout your system. As a result, you are unable to store any extra intake because it will leave your body through your urine and waste products.

How can I make sure I’m getting enough of these vitamins?

The majority of people have no problems getting the vitamins they need from the foods they eat daily. Foods that we already know are healthy for us to eat contain very high amounts of the essential vitamins we need to stay healthy.

A lot of other foods are now fortified, or processed with extra vitamins in them, to make them more nutritious to eat. Familiar examples of fortified foods include breakfast cereals and bread.
